"Gammel & Skeiv" — is a project about the love of elderly homosexuals that I am currently working on.

Many older gay people go back into the closet when they move into nursing homes. I am deeply upset that people should feel they have to deny their sexuality and their love — especially those who are nearing the end of their lives. My goal is for others, not least the older heterosexual generation who grew up in a time when homosexuality was seen as an illness, to engage with these images, see the people they portray, and recognize their love as equal to their own.

Through a series of documentary photographs and a series of artistic images, I want to document the love of elderly homosexuals — so that especially the older heterosexual generation, who grew up in a time when homosexuality was viewed as a disease, can engage with these images and see their life stories and everyday lives.

But this is also for all of us.
